AMHERST – Lorraine Alice Hamilton of Amherst, New Hampshire, Beach Haven, New Jersey and Rancho Mirage, California died June 14, 2020 from pancreatic cancer at her home in California. She was 73 years old and a participant in the trial of a new cancer drug at NYU Langone in New York City since April 2019. She hoped that results from the trial would improve care for other patients who develop this cancer. She was with her family when she died and was

Amherst Garden Club's Annual
AMHERST PLANT SALE

The event is Saturday, May 13 at Wilkins Elementary School (rain or shine) from 8:30am to 1:00pm. We have 3000 locally dug perennials that are ready to be planted in your gardens. In addition we have many shrubs and trees. Our venders will be selling garden ornaments, herbs, veggie plants, shrubs, annuals and gift giving hanging baskets for Mother’s Day.
Don’t forget to check out our vendor section. Our vendors this year are: Amherst Garden Center, Trombly Gardens, Bagley Pond Natives, Stonegate Farm, Paula Barry Ceramics, Pamela Miller Metalsmith, A Touch of Glass, Pappy’s Orchard Street Honey, NH Audubon, Amherst Conservation, Organic Plant Magic, Hillsborough County Gleaners Amherst Girl Scout Troop/Succulents. Our club vendors are: Pantry Table, Gently Used Garden Books and Magazines, Spear Head Brand Shovels & Large Used Containers, Kid’s Potting Table, Club Members Boutique, House Plants, Raffle Baskets & Raffle Adirondack Chairs, Master Gardeners Info Table- GO NATIVE!

The Amherst Lion Club invites you to nominate your neighbor, friend or colleague as 2022’s Amherst Citizen of the Year. These individuals should manifest good citizenship through volunteerism, participation, concern and actions to help make Amherst the great community that it is today. Along with a medal, the winner(s) receive a silver engraved bowl and their name(s) engraved on a plaque in the town hall.
