Amherst's Fourth of July 2021

FOURTH OF JULY REVERSE PARADE – The theme for this year's celebration of Independence Day was "America's Superheros" reflected in the many decorated floats, civic group displays, costumes, bands and more. Military and Militia groups from past parades also were in attendance as crowds drove by in their cars around the loop at Souhegan High School. Separately, Jeff Odner (Amherst's "Uncle Sam") read the Declaration of Independence on the Common with children and adults in attendance. An informal bike parade was organized and the bell at Amherst Congregational Church rang "Let Freedom Ring" ...
